Infrastructure: it's our roads, bridges, dams, airports, power grids... basically anything that can be destroyed in an action film! And the problem is, it's falling apart. According to the American Society of Civil Engineers, the U.S. needs massive investments in all essential infrastructure. Many of these structures were built half a century ago, and have fallen prey to wear and tear and, of course, corrosion. Although maintenance and monitoring has been woefully underfunded, serious failures and deterioration are likely to force greater government investment in this area.
