What Does Homogeneous Mean?

Homogenous refers to uniformity across the molecular and structural components of a material. Homogenous metals and alloys have a greater likelihood of causing catastrophic structural failure when used widely in a given application. However, in relation to this, remediation and corrosion prevention practices are also more easily applied to homogenous structures.

Corrosionpedia Explains Homogeneous

The probability of one area to corrode automatically affects the entire area associated with any given structure. At the same time, corrosion prevention initiatives for homogenous structures are more cost effective, time efficient and less labor intensive in their application.
