Corrosionpedia Explains Polyvinyl Acetate

Polyvinyl acetate has been empirically examined for corrosion prevention in mild steel applications. The weight loss measurement and potentiodynamic polarization are typically investigated to determine the suitability of corrosion prevention.

It has been conclusively determined that polyvinyl acetate inhibits the dissolution of mild steel in a 0.5 M H2SO4 acid solution. It also displays a high rate of inhibition efficiency of up to 85.67%.
