What Does
Containment Mean?
Containment is the process of preventing pollution or contamination of the immediate site environment by dust, debris, abrasives, chemicals, sprays and other materials that have been applied to prevent corrosion.
Corrosionpedia Explains Containment
The degree of containment required is directly proportional to the degree of toxicity present in the corrosion preventive substance being applied. The more toxic that the dust, chemical or spray present is, the greater the level of containment that is required. Some types of containment systems used are total structure enclosures, partial structure enclosures and free-hanging enclosures.
