The American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE), along with the ASNE Tidewater Section is extremely proud to announce that this year’s Fleet Maintenance and Modernization Symposium (FMMS), being held on September 12-15, 2016, at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. FMMS is one of the nation’s largest and longest running naval engineering events focused on bringing together the nation’s entire ship maintenance and modernization community like no other forum.
FMMS 2016 will include prominent keynote speakers, panelists and technical paper presenters from the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army watercraft, Industry and Academia; and an exhibit hall full of innovative product and service providers. This four-day gathering, two days of core symposium coupled with important collaborative events, provides a truly unique opportunity for participants to interact and collaborate with senior military and civil service decision makers, ship and craft operators and maintainers, repair and maintenance personnel, designers, builders, planners, engineers, program managers, life cycle engineers, equipment suppliers and other technical experts.
We expect to have well over 1,200 attendees at this year’s event, including significant participation from naval commands and government agencies located in the Norfolk, Washington, and San Diego metro areas, as well as throughout the country. Over 130 industry vendors will be participating in this year’s exhibit hall highlighting their latest advancements and newest technologies that will ensure Fleet readiness in the 21st century.
