A pressure pot serves as a regulatory device used to ensure that the gun output flow rate is consistent so that a uniform coat is applied across the surface of the metal it is applied to. Uniform application is more likely to result in uniform deterioration and corrosion, which prevents localized corrosion and equipment failure.
Pressure pots are configured in single and double regulated pressure tanks. A single pot configuration controls material flow while a double pot configuration controls both the material flow and the atomization air pressure.
