As an elemental mixture of nickel and chromium, Alloy 625 has excellent malleability properties. This base metal pair alloy provides resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments. Other beneficial characteristics of Alloy 625 include:

  • Increased creep-rupture strength
  • Oxidation resistant up to 1800°F (982°C)
  • Good fatigue resistance
  • Good chloride pitting and crevice corrosion resistance
  • Stress corrosion cracking immunity
  • Flowing and stagnant seawater resistance
